Seasons of Growth

Seasons of Growth

Growth does not look the same in every season.

Some seasons are full and visible. Lavender stretches upward, buds form, fragrance fills the air, and progress feels obvious. These are the moments most people associate with growth.

Other seasons are quieter. The fields rest. Plants turn their energy inward, strengthening roots and preparing for what comes next. Little appears to be happening on the surface, yet these periods are essential to long-term health.

Farming teaches us to respect both. Each season plays a role, and none can be skipped. Pushing for constant production weakens the process, while honoring natural cycles strengthens it.

At JW Farms, our work changes with the seasons. Spring invites careful observation and preparation. Summer brings focus and stewardship. Fall asks for reflection and readiness. Winter offers rest and planning. Together, these rhythms shape how the land and the farm evolve.

Lavender reflects this balance clearly. Its success depends not on constant effort, but on well-timed care and patience. When allowed to move through its natural cycle, it becomes stronger, more resilient, and more generous in return.

Seasons of growth remind us that progress is not always immediate, but it is always unfolding.
